Content Marketing Specialist

Description

About Us

Irwin is one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies in Canada. We are based in Toronto and are a leading provider of capital markets-focused financial technology with a mission to seamlessly connect the world's capital seekers and allocators to make them more productive, innovative, and successful. Our flagship product, Irwin, is a software platform used by investor relations and investment banking professionals all over the world.

At Irwin, we’re redefining technology in the investor relations space, and we need a Content Marketing Specialist to help us tell our story and amplify voices in the IR community. If you’re a creative thinker and a strong writer who can create content that educates, engages, and converts, this could be your next big move.

Why this role is important:
  • Your content will directly shape how Irwin is perceived in the market, driving brand awareness and engagement.
  • You’ll ensure our content is consistent, polished, and on-brand, helping to build trust and credibility with our audience.
  • Your work will support key marketing initiatives, from lead generation to customer retention, contributing to our overall growth and success.

As Irwin’s Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our content creation, working across various formats to bring our brand voice to life. From keeping our editorial and LinkedIn calendars on track to writing blog posts, case studies, and event content, you’ll play a pivotal role in how we connect with our audience. Working directly with our Senior Director, Brand Marketing, you’ll also co-manage our podcast production, engage with our client community, and keep a close eye on industry trends to ensure our content is always fresh, relevant, and impactful.

In this role, you will:
  • Maintain and update the team’s editorial calendar, manage deliverables through Asana, and ensure content planning and production stay on track.
  • Write and produce short-form and long-form content including blog posts, case studies, reports and guides, sales enablement, social media, and more.
  • Maintain a LinkedIn content calendar, ensuring consistent and strategic posting. Create or coordinate the creation of visual assets to accompany each post and enhance engagement.
  • Work alongside the Senior Director, Brand Marketing to maintain the production schedule for Irwin’s podcast, Winning IR. You’ll help source and vet guests, participate in prep calls, write and edit questions and episode themes, and create all promotional assets to support each episode.
  • Partner with the Event Marketing Manager to create content for both virtual and in-person events. This includes writing event descriptions, landing page copy, marketing emails and sequences, creative and copy for on-site assets, and post-event communications.
  • Write and distribute Irwin’s monthly editorial newsletter, inside IR, sharing valuable content in an engaging format.
  • Manage and engage with the Irwin Community forum, ensuring it remains an active, valuable resource for our clients.
  • Track industry trends and current conversations to produce timely news articles and content that’s educational and easy to digest.
  • Work with sales and customer success to identify client success stories to highlight. Plan questions, interview customers, and write case studies and other content formats.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external thought leaders to develop content that showcases industry insights and expert opinions.
  • Explore different content formats and channels to enhance storytelling across various media.
  • Work with the SEO & Web Marketing Manager to optimize content for search engines that support marketing programs and sales enablement.
  • Keep our Marketing Hub updated with all content marketing materials, ensuring that documents are always up-to-date, organized, and accessible to the right teams.
  • Help maintain Irwin’s brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content, ensuring consistency and quality.

Who we’re looking for:
  • You’ve got 3 years of experience creating content for B2B audiences, especially in SaaS or something similar, with a strong portfolio to prove it.
  • You see how content fits into the bigger marketing puzzle and are always looking for ways to boost engagement.
  • Your writing is sharp, clear, and on point. You’re skilled at working within a voice and style guide to keep our content consistent and on-brand.
  • You’re interested in the numbers, too—using data to see what’s working and tweaking your approach to make things even better.
  • You’re a pro at managing multiple projects at once, prioritizing tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch content on time, every time.
  • You have an opinion, and you’re not shy about sharing it. Your voice will help shape our content and connect with our audience.
  • You’re comfortable speaking with senior leaders—whether it’s internally or externally, you know how to hold your own and communicate effectively.
  • You’re up to date with the latest marketing and content trends, and you’re excited to identify new opportunities to improve and innovate our content strategy.
  • You keep a close eye on current events and news stories that impact our industry, and you know how to spot opportunities to create timely, relevant content that resonates with our audience.
  • You have a keen eye for the little things, making sure everything you produce is polished, professional, and error-free.

Nice to have:
  • While it’s not a must, an understanding of the public markets would definitely give you an edge in connecting with our audience.
  • A background in finance or capital markets writing—or even journalism—would be a big plus and help you hit the ground running.
  • You’re comfortable with marketing automation tools like HubSpot.
  • You’ve got some basic design skills or know your way around Canva or Figma to create visually appealing content.

Why you’ll love joining us now:
  • We’ve just launched a bold rebrand, and your creativity will be essential in bringing our brand voice to life and creating content that makes an impact across the industry.
  • There’s plenty of room for you to grow on the content and brand marketing side, with opportunities to expand your skills and take on new challenges as we continue to evolve.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary and stock options.
  • We offer 20 days of annual leave, plus an extra week off during the year-end holiday period.
  • We’ve got your monthly internet expenses covered, so you can work from anywhere.
  • Work-life balance is key—enjoy the freedom to choose your work location and flexible hours in our remote-first culture.
  • Join an inclusive work environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and statuses.
